Stop Persecuting Hannah and James, They Are Not the Real Criminals
Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe did great work exposing ACORN and the criminal activities of its employees. They traveled the country videotaping ACORN employees providing advice on how to evade IRS regulations, establish brothels, and engage in international sex-trafficking. In exchange for exposing this they've been met with a lawsuit and state investigations. Now we learn from our friends at www.biggovernment.com that the fix may be in against them in California.
California Attorney General Jerry Brown is mounting an investigation. The folks at www.biggovernment.com have obtained audio recordings of an ACORN leader promising that:
[T]he Attorney General is a "political animal." He states that he has been in communication with Brown's office and assures the crowd that "the fault WILL be found with the people that did the video — not ACORN."
I certainly hope this isn't the case. Jerry Brown needs to investigate ACORN's criminal and fraudulent activity, not engage in a persecution of these intrepid young journalists.
