An award-winning member of the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar, David Applegate has tried civil cases to verdict before judges and juries in both state and federal courts, as well as argued appeals and represented clients in mediations and arbitrations in both domestic and international business disputes for over thirty years. A non-native Chicagoan and an accomplished public speaker, Mr. Applegate has canvassed prospective voters, circulated petitions, worked as a pollwatcher, hosted fundraisers, introduced candidates at public events, contributed to campaigns, and personally campaigned for candidates for local, state, and federal office since Jimmy Carter was President. Most recently, he worked as an NRLA poll-watcher in Milwaukee during the June 5 attempted recall election of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
