Mr. Alwine is a trial lawyer who represents plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. He litigates cases involving breach of contract, business torts, professional negligence, shareholder rights, and employment agreements, among others.
Mr. Alwine began his legal career with the United States Navy, Judge Advocate Generalís Corps, serving as a prosecutor and defense counsel in Washington, D.C. and Sicily, Italy. While overseas with the Navy, Mr. Alwine practiced in Sicily, Naples, Sardinia, Germany, and Bahrain. He was awarded the American Bar Association Award for Professional Excellence, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal (with gold star), the National Defense Service Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon (with bronze star), and the Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon.
He left active duty service and returned to Miami, Florida in 2004 where he has concentrated his practice in civil litigation and real estate transactions.
He is married to Alexia Alwine and has four children.
